It was wonderful to reunite with fellow Fulbright Lecturers at the 2024 Mid-Year Conference in Osaka! We reflected on our first six months of teaching and living in Japan, sharing insights to make the most of the months ahead. Over lunch with the Fulbright Japan-U.S. Educational Commission (JUSEC) staff, we continued our discussions before joining a networking event with distinguished Fulbright alumni and student researchers. As I look forward to the second half of my Fulbright journey, I transition from teaching at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology to the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa!

We ate at a kushiage restaurant. Kushiage is a Japanese dish featuring various ingredients, including meat, vegetables, prawns, and even cheese, that are breaded and deep-fried on skewers.
